Classes are grouped by fuel type, engine configuration, cylinder count and whether the vehicle is naturally aspirated or boosted.
Petrol 4 Cylinder Boosted
For petrol 4-cylinder vehicles fitted with turbochargers or superchargers.
Diesel 4 Cylinder Boosted
For diesel 4-cylinder vehicles fitted with turbochargers or superchargers.
Petrol 6 Cylinder Naturally Aspirated
For petrol 6-cylinder vehicles without forced induction.
Diesel 6 Cylinder Naturally Aspirated
For diesel 6-cylinder vehicles without forced induction.
Petrol 6 Cylinder Boosted
For petrol 6-cylinder vehicles fitted with turbochargers or superchargers.
Diesel 6 Cylinder Boosted
For diesel 6-cylinder vehicles fitted with turbochargers or superchargers.
Petrol 8 Cylinder Naturally Aspirated
For petrol V8 vehicles without forced induction.
Diesel 8 Cylinder Naturally Aspirated
For diesel V8 vehicles without forced induction.
Petrol 8 Cylinder Boosted
For petrol V8 vehicles fitted with turbochargers or superchargers.
Diesel 8 Cylinder Boosted
For diesel V8 vehicles fitted with turbochargers or superchargers.
EV Class
For electric vehicles.
Open Class
For vehicles that do not clearly fit into one of the standard race categories, or for special builds at the discretion of the organisers.
Final class allocation remains at the discretion of the Gravel Kings organisers. If a vehicle is entered into the incorrect class, the organisers may move it into the correct category before or during the event.
